There is nowhere to escape as Darian removes the strap from his chest, stalks toward me and cages me with his arms. I am pinned to the metallic wall, caught in his unnerving purple gaze. His head dips to the place where my neck and collarbone meet, and he inhales deeply.
Oh my God, he is literally sniffing me like some kind of animal. A beast of terrible, primal potential. What starts as a low growl from his throat becomes a vibrating purr.
The warm, spicy scent of him this close is like nothing I have experienced before. I’m tempted to sniff him like an animal, too. Darian nuzzles my cheek and slowly brings his lips to mine.
He is careful with his fangs, kissing me with just the right amount of pressure. As my desire cranks up tenfold, my conscience screams this is dangerous, strange, and I should do something to stop it. My body is not listening.
